Student Dress Code

A quick-reference guide for families.

Our dress code is set in the interest of good grooming, modesty, and sound educational practices. It is the parents' responsibility to ensure students are in compliance — students may not attend class unless dress code guidelines are met.

The Essentials

Imagery & Messages
No writing or images that don't align with godly principles. No political attire during election periods.
Condition
All clothing must be clean and in good repair. Rips, tears, and holes are not acceptable.
Headwear
No hats, hoods, or head coverings indoors during the school day (except for documented religious or medical reasons).
Fit
Not excessively tight (no visible undergarments or prominent outlines) or excessively baggy. Leggings/yoga pants require a top extending to at least mid-thigh.
Tops & Straps
Straps at least 2″ wide, must fully cover the torso (including midriff) at all times — even with arms raised. No tank tops with narrow straps, strapless tops, or spaghetti straps. Sheer fabric needs a layer underneath.
Shorts & Skirts
Nice jeans, shorts, and athletic pants are fine. Shorts/skirts no shorter than mid-thigh when standing.
Footwear
Dress shoes, athletic shoes, and sandals are acceptable. Slides/crocs allowed but may pose a safety issue.
Hair & Facial Hair
Must be clean and neatly groomed.
Piercings & Tattoos
Ear piercings okay (not distracting). No other visible facial/body piercings. Visible tattoos must be covered during school and school events.

Spirit Wear & Dress-Down Days

On designated spirit wear or dress-down days, students may wear approved casual attire as specified by the administration. All other standards — length, fit, and appropriateness of imagery — still apply.

If a Student Is Out of Compliance

  • Students may not attend class unless dress code guidelines are met.
  • Parents may be asked to bring appropriate clothing to school.
  • Repeated offenses may result in further disciplinary action.

Administrative decisions are final regarding dress code.
